Everything you need to know about envelopes

The two standard processes for envelope printing are litho (lithographic) and flexo (flexographic). A number of factors determine the choice of process, including size of run, complexity and desired quality of the finished printed image, whether the ink image bleeds off the side of the envelope and if so which edge, paper quality and the number of colours. Other considerations, such as desired turnround time, can also dictate the process used.
